CACAT PRODUK AKIBAT TEMPERATUR CYLINDER BARREL PADA PROSES PRODUKSI MENGGUNAKAN INJECTION MOLDING

Abstrak
In injection manufacturing method, product failures often occur due to incorrect temperature settings on the cylinder barrel. Cylinder barrel is a tube that functions as a plastic material to melt. This cylinder is wrapped with a heating element or band heater. The function of this band heater is to heat the material. The temperature setting is adjusted to the melting point of the material. The inaccurate temperature setting on the cylinder barrel is the cause of product defects that often occur in the injection molding production process. Generally occurs when the cylinder barrel temperature setting is too low or too high.
In product defects due to the cylinder barrel temperature is too high it will cause the thermoplastic material to be too hot, too melted (liquid) and take a long time to cool down. The defects that occur form specks of silver line (splay), especially in the gate area. Product defects due to cylinder barrel temperature are too low will cause the thermoplastic material to not melt enough, too thick and too fast in cooling. Frequent defects are Short Shot (frozen too early) and Weld Line.
