Abstract

This tool is for regulating traffic at the intersection of traffic light based on the level of density using a microcontroller. This tool uses a microcontroller that is processed using fuzzy logic. This tool is made to optimize the control of traffic light processes based on the level of density in real time. This automatic control system consists of one ATMEGA 8535 microcontroller which regulates eight sensors, each infrared sensor. The use of infrared sensors is to detect the level of density in each section of the road and provide input to the microcontroller. Because of this, later on each lane will be given an infrared sensor which will provide data on the density level of each lane. In each lane 2 infrared sensors are used as input. That way it can be seen the level of density in each path that will determine the length of the green light on each segment. The length of time the lights will be set through the fuzzy logic system. All fuzzy logic processes will occur on the microcontroller where the results of the process will determine the output of the traffic light. Examples of the application of such devices can later be used on each section of a road intersection. Keywords : Color Sensor, Infra Red, ATmega8535
