SCHOOL PROMOTION OF SMKN 1 TAMBUN SELATAN USING WEBSITE

Abstract

In SMKN 1 Tambun Selatan in the delivery of information or promotion of schools to the community is still conventional, banners, circulars and bulletin boards, so that, it is inefficient regarding time, energy and costs and limited outreach. From these need, a website was created as a means of promotion / delivery of school information to the community, and as a school's existence. The information system development methodology used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). By using the programming language HTML, PHP, and MySQL database by using Sublime Text 3 as an editor. The purpose of making a website for SMKN 1 Tambun Selatan as a promotional media so that the information provided gets wider reach to the public. Based on a questionnaire from 208 respondents, 82.08% of respondents strongly agree and 17.92% disagree if using the website as a promotional medium in SMK 1 Tambun Selatan.Keywords: Promotion, Website, SDLC, HTML, PHP, MySql, and Sublime Text 3
