WAREHOUS MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN FOR PT SICEPAT EXPRES

Abstract

The warehousing business process broadly consists of the activities of receiving goods, storing, and releasing goods. PT Sicepat Express is a company engaged in shipping or logistics expedition services, because the existing warehousing system is still semi-computer using Ms.Excel so it has a security risk, the accuracy of the existing goods data is less guaranteed. So that the research conducted, the application of WMS is able to increase work efficiency and time in goods availability activities because the system is able to provide accurate goods placement data. The research method used in the system analysis is SWOT which consists of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. The system design uses object-oriented analysis method with Unified Modeling Language (UML), the proposed system uses the programming language used is PHP and the database used is MySQL, while the supporting software used in making the program is Sublime and XAMPP. In this study, a system has been created that has features such as master data of goods, transactions, transaction reports, reports of goods availability. With this Warehouse Management System system running business processes will be more effective and efficient.Keywords : Warehouse Management System (WMS), warehouse, SWOT Method
