Abstract

General elections (elections) are a form of democratic practice in Indonesia. All people who have fulfilled the requirements as voters are entitled to participate in the general election. Democratic parties in Indonesia take place every five years and are still held conventionally (paper-based). This is because there are various opinions that are pro and contra regarding the implementation of elections by e-voting, especially the problem of data security from voting results, as well as the problem of internet network connections that are not evenly distributed in all regions in Indonesia. However, with current technological developments, these two problems can be resolved, so that e-voting is the best solution for holding elections. The e-voting system developed is a system with fingerprint biometric data input on the finger print and LCD touchscreen. The collection of fingerprint and e-KTP data is carried out before the voting takes place by the General Elections Commission (KPU) officers, and analyzes the data to become a voter database that will support the data verification and validation process. Voting is done using the LCD, and the results of the vote will be saved directly to the data server, so that data security and confidentiality are maintained. E-voting can be implemented properly to reduce operational costs, the voting process can be carried out more quickly, and avoid ballot bubbles due to one voter, one fingerprint, and one vote.Keyword : Pemilu, E-Voting, Finger Print, LCD, E-KTP
