Abstract

ABSTRACT Libraries play a very important role in the world of education, where libraries store a lot of information needed to improve the quality of education. The library is one of the strong pillars of the National Education System, without a library, development in the field of education will not be achieved as it should. The library has become one of the most important institutions in the midst of society, both in the formal environment (educated people) and non-formal environments (the general public) which must always keep abreast of the times. West Bandung Regency built a regional library as a place for educational and recreational functions to educate and attract reading and introduce literacy activities to the wider community, children, persons with disabilities and the elderly by providing various supporting facilities needed by t Libraries generally consider and determine noise protection based on existing threats and noise cancellation (acoustics) to minimize noise so as not to interfere with other functions and specifically consider and determine noise protection elements on sites, spaces, buildings based on the functions of the Public Library and building façade elements that can minimize noise while reflecting the library that educative and recreative he community to make West Bandung a center of activity integrated literature in West Java.
