Abstract

The application of green buildings or green buildings in Indonesia will contribute to the global commitment of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on global warming, namely reducing carbon emissions by 26% by 2020, because buildings produce CO2 emissions of 30% of world carbon dioxide emissions. The concept of green building requires the role of the government together with the entire construction industry, both the private sector and the government. The implementation of "green" building principles will contribute positively to the physical and urban environment, supported by the establishment of GREENSHIP certification by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). Green certification of buildings in Indonesia is very important given the development of construction, especially buildings that are increasingly advanced. With this green certification process as part of the world's green buildings, it is hoped that development in Indonesia can be in harmony with the environment with minimal impact caused by both the design, construction and reconstruction processes.
