Abstract

Jakarta's population growth is generally due to natural growth and due to the urbanization process. Migrant growth is allegedly greater and birth rates are growing. With the need for residential houses, it is also not only necessarily in the form of a landed house but there are also several design alternatives that can be built as a living hunai to be a solution to the limitations of open land in DKI Jakarta, as long as it is by building vertical housing such as Apartments, Flats, and Condominiums. Building vertikan housing will help overcome the problem of land availability for residential development, which was previously a landed dwelling into a vertical hunain. Thus the need for open space to accommodate the activities of the population is also getting bigger and must be facilitated, one of the open spaces that can be used as green open space and as a place for residents' activities is the space on the right and left sides of the East Canal Flood. Therefore it is necessary to identify the green area around the East Canal Flood. The method used in general in this study is descriptive, spatial using a potential resource tracing approach in the East Canal Flood. The result of the analysis for the planning concept is that with this connectivity concept, it describes quality green open space can provide many advantages such as maintaining biodiversity, improving air and water quality, the availability of space for people to carry out physical activities, and improving the aesthetics of the environment.
