Abstract

Taman Margasatwa Ragunan (TMR) Jakarta is a tourist park in the form of a zoo that is more than 100 years old, in which there are thousands of animals and hundreds of species. As the largest park in DKI Jakarta, with a vision to become a zoo that is parallel to the world's big cities. At the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, TMR stopped operating. This causes the condition of the decline in several facilities. The closure of the zoo creates operational problems related to operational funds for animal care and facilities. The priority during a pandemic is keeping animals healthy and having their physical needs met. As for the facilities, with the decrease in operational costs, the operation was not optimal so that there were several declines in facilities. Currently TMR has been operating again, so the commitment to become a zoo like other big cities in the world still needs to be realized. For this reason, various supporting facilities need to be identified in the context of optimal management strategies to meet standards and achieve visitor comfort. The purpose of this study was to determine the management strategy of the area's supporting facilities that were declining due to the pandemic situation in Taman Margasatwa Ragunan. The research method used is to collect primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by direct observation to TMR Jakarta. The analytical method used in this research is SWOT analysis. The result of this research is the identification of potentials and problems in aspects of supporting facilities owned by TMR.
