Abstract

DKI Jakarta has become a city that has developed into a megapolitan city where there is a central government as well as a center for economic activity, which also adds to the impact on the development or movement of the wheels of economic, social, and cultural life of society in general. The use of signage aims to make it easier for users to achieve something, be it objects, services, places, and others. The research locus was conducted at the Tebet KRL Station, South Jakarta, this location applies the concept of accessibility which provides easy access to the entrance and prioritizes accessibility, especially at the Tebet KRL Station. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with the aim of examining a condition in the present by conducting a direct survey to collect accurate data regarding the facts of the condition at the Tebet KRL Station, South Jakarta. This station has taken into account the needs that are in accordance with comfort and are easily accessible for all users and people with disabilities. The principles of appropriate signage include sentences and typefaces, images and graphics as well as colors, while the principles that are not appropriate are found in the principle of location.
